UPCOMING CLASSES! - These classes are held in the indoor facility at Flying Fur! Dog DayCare and Training located on Route 460, just west of Blacksburg. The next session will begin Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Beginning and Intermediate Agility Classes run for 7 weeks. The cost is $70.00.
Beginning Agility - Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, starting January 19, 2010. (For dogs that have passed a foundation skills class or have demonstrated off-leash control.) This class will focus on introduction to all the agility obstacles, as well as some simple sequencing and handling skills. Intermediate Agility - Tuesdays at 7:45 pm, starting January 19, 2010. (For dogs that have passed the Beginning Agility class or the equivalent.) This class will focus on more advanced sequences and handling skills, as well as continuing to work on correct obstacle performance. Weave Poles, Etc. - Saturdays at 9:30 am, starting January 16, 2010. (For dogs that have passed the Beginning Agility class or the equivalent.) This class will focus heavily on teaching dogs to weave using the 2x2 weave method, but will also include working towards a more independent performance of contact obstacles, and working on more advanced sequences. NOTE: There will be 6 class periods, and the cost for this class will be $65.00, which includes practice weave poles for each student to keep.
